Job Summary

The Equinix Interconnection Product Management team is offering a Product Management internship position.  This is an opportunity to apply your field of study while gaining on the job skills as we advance how enterprises around the world architect and deploy next generation infrastructure. As part of the Product Management team, you will learn how we bridge the technical and business worlds to help define, deliver and improve our innovative interconnection products.

This role will expose you to how product management uses data and insights to validate customer and organizational needs to deliver successful products and services. You will get hands-on financial modeling and data analysis experience related to product discovery, marketing, relationship management and related domains necessary for growing networking products in a high-technology, dynamic environment. 

Responsibilities

Internship Activities/Projects

• Support internal groups and lead a project to improve efficiency and/or our customer experience


• Participate in a software development and release cycles and the related pre- and post-launch activities, including product training, documentation and support


• Create and collaborate on operational and financial business reports, conduct compelling business reviews with the product team


• Maintain management dashboard views of key performance indicators status and actions


• Participate with technology teams on Agile product backlog, epic and user story requirements, and feature delivery


• Document, support and improve the customer experience


• Consider competitive and alternative offerings in the market and participate in how we assess their strengths and weaknesses.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the discipline of Product Management and Product Marketing


• Familiar with Agile development methodology and data analysis techniques


• Confident and clear verbal and written communication skills for presentations, customer service, business engagement, and potentially negotiation skills. 


• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities and a strong attention to detail


• The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated proactive contributor on team projects. This includes bringing a strong sense of curiosity and a bias to applying the scientific method to problem solving.


• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
