Bose is seeking a Senior EMC / RF Engineer to join our Engineering team.

We are looking for a talented individual who is driven by their curiosity and is willing to grow. In this role, the candidate will provide test expertise and electrical analysis in the Electro-Magnetic Compliance (EMC) area, as well as driving design efforts toward EMC compliance. This individual will be involved in all phases of the product life cycle (Advanced Development, Engineering Evaluation, Design Validation, Process Validation and Continuous Engineering) for a diverse range of products including, Wireless Speakers, Wireless Headsets, Audio for Video, Professional Systems , Health, and Wellness products. This is a "hands-on" position that will require the person to collaborate with worldwide Bose and Contract Manufacture (CM) engineering teams from advanced development to product release.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

o Work with the Electrical Design teams to continuously improve the EMC design and performance of our diverse products

o Work upfront with design teams to review and provide feedback on proposed designs, such as participating in schematic and layout reviews.

o Evaluate a product to ensure compliance with applicable industry and regulatory EMC standards including Bose specifications

o Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of EMC test equipment (such as receivers, spectrum analyzers and antennas).

o Participate with the product designers in trouble-shooting EMC test failures

o Wireless standard testing

o Coordinate the set-up of EMC tests to assure that all good EMC laboratory practices are being followed

o Perform EMC testing in Bose's internal A2LA accredited lab

o Take a lead role in continuous improvement of the EMC lab processes, procedures and tools to enhance our test accuracy, efficiency and repeatability

Must have the following skills, abilities and experience:

oEMC testing experience infast paced, client-focused environment

o Strong interest in working in the EMC field

oEMC compliance testing experience

o Working knowledge of EMC circuits and methods

oProven ability to communicate, both verbally and written, concepts, ideas, and routine details to various levels of technical and non-technical engineering and management personnel.

o Strong knowledge of basic electronics

o Experience with electronic measurement

o Excellent problem-solving abilities

o Experience with soldering of electronic components including SMD parts

o Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word applications

o Ability to work independently

o Audio/Video industry experience is a plus

o Strong understanding of amplifier technology is a plus

o Experience with any facet of EMC, RF, or audio design is a plus

Qualifications:

o 5+ years of hands on professional experience in this field (EMC test environment) , however, equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience will be considered

o Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
