An exciting opportunity has recently come available for a Director of Nursing Operations at this well-regarded Acute Rehabilitation program in the Los Angeles Area. Join this outstanding health system in one of America’s most dynamic and picturesque cities.


This recently remodeled 100+ bed facility offers a wide array of services for the population of Los Angeles. Offering a calm, soothing recovery environment, this hospital has earned an outstanding reputation for high-quality patient care and great customer satisfaction surveys. The Rehabilitation Nursing Director will join a facility that works closely with one of the area’s prominent medical centers, a medical center that has been named one of the 100 Great Hospitals in America and is high performing for Joint / Orthopedics, Cardiology, Neurology, and Diabetes.


Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nursing Director of Acute Rehabilitation will oversee complex short and long-term operations. Supporting the Director in this is an outstanding CRRN Certified Nursing Manager and two Rehab Charge RNs. The Director will have around 30 RNs, LVNs, Social Workers, and Patient Care Technicians reporting indirectly.


Staffing the Rehabilitation Department is an amazing team of Nurses, LVNs, Physicians, and Nurse Practitioners. The primary patient population here are short-term rehabilitation patients receiving care for high-acuity cardiac, multiple trauma, orthopedics, and neurology. Another important piece of the hospital’s service offerings is its Skilled Nursing unit, which provides Long-term care for a wide array of patient populations.  


The Acute Rehabilitation Nursing Director will take responsibly for clinical and operational oversight of a large, compassionate nursing team. The Director will:



  • develop, implement, and maintain Nursing Policies and Procedures, coordinating updates as needed and serving as the facility’s subject matter expert.

  • collaborate with leaders throughout the region and the health system do develop operational synergies in care transitions.

  • serve as a clinical mentor and leader for nursing staff, promoting shared governance, supporting patient / client dignity and satisfaction, and fostering educational growth
