What you will do

The Senior Engineer is responsible for electrical analysis, detailed design and control, as well as overall electrical performance of air and water cooled chillers components and systems, including providing support to the production, laboratory, service, applications and marketing teams located globally. Candidate should also be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

How you will do it


  • Investigates and analyzes product design proposals on electrical power panels, control panels, variable speed drives and wire harnesses in accordance with UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes, then recommends solutions.

  • Proficient in electrical design and able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product.

  • Proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support designs.

  • Responsible for technical direction to application engineers, designers, factory operations, product marketing, and product technical service.

  • Responsible for the on-time completion of projects.

  • Continuously increases expertise on all aspects of chiller electrical design, theory, construction, operation, and applications.

  • Proficient at selecting the most suitable electrical components.

  • Uses standard and advanced technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and best practices in field.

  • Expertise and applies regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes a plus.

  • Strives for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development and process environment.

  • Responsible for engineering drawings including electrical schematics, bill of materials.

  • Experience with mechanical systems and material resource planning (MRP) software also a plus.

  • Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.

What we look for


  • BS Electrical Engineer or BS Chemical Engineer, or related field; minimum of 5 years of experience.

  • Experience designing industrial products (engineer to order, applied, or ‘made to order’ environments required)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule driven, team-oriented environment.

  • Understands chiller controls.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Familiarity with HVAC Systems and motor driven mechanical engineering design and test is preferred, alternative experience with gas compression would be advantageous.

  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 10% of time)
