Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Regulatory SME in Idaho Falls, ID.

  • Provide Cultural Resource Manager (CRM) and NEPA Manager programmatic support specific demolition projects, or as needed for other project tasks.
  • Prepare NEPA compliant documentation to include environmental checklists for Categorical Exclusions (CXs), Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs).
  • Complete appropriate NEPA review documentation based on the level of evaluation required.
  • Coordinate internal reviews, final document production, and submittals.
  • Prepare for and attend NEPA team and other types of meetings.
  • Provide new, and/or recently promulgated, regulatory compliance requirement integration and implementation efforts to include proactive and timely fieldwork execution and all associated documentation, reporting, and record keeping actions to reduce regulatory risks.
  • Support activities related to RCRA permitting and onsite hazardous waste management.
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets on a weekly basis and report accomplishments on a quarterly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • 15 years of related experience desired.
  • Department of Energy related regulatory experience.
  • Experience is ArcGIS is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating NEPA teams and document preparation (developing schedules, resources assignments, client interaction, evaluating project scope and public interest).
  • Knowledge of RCRA permitting processes and issues.
  • Experience managing hazardous waste in accordance with RCRA.
  • Skills and ability to perform critical strategic tasks and to interpret broad strategic requirements and develop and execute plans to satisfy them.
