Job Summary

The Senior HRBP will partner with the Head of Human Resources for our NC based manufacturing facility in delivering people processes, programs, and initiatives for the site and /or their designated client groups. They will achieve this by working closely with the senior leaders to understand the business challenges and opportunities. The role will deliver value adding solutions across a range of HR areas including talent management, performance management, change management, employee relations, strategic work force planning, employee engagement, and total rewards.

Major Responsibilities

BUSINESS PARTNERING -


  • Influences and builds relationships with leaders to reinforce HR's position as a trusted advisor to the business.

  • Provides coaching and support to drive high performance that enables the delivery of superior performance.

  • Courageously challenges the business leaders they support to ensure a better outcome on people related matters.

  • Strategically leads cyclical people activities (talent, performance, compensation etc..) with the business in a manner that differentiates talent and leads to a high performing culture.

  • Advises and challenges the business to strategically assess the workforce plans and design the organization that meets current and future business needs.

TALENT & SUCCESSION MANAGEMENT -


  • Drives the talent agenda within the client group/site to build a sustainable pipeline of world class talent through acquisition, appropriate talent moves, retention and development actions.

  • Uses the Seqirus talent process to assess talent and identify critical roles and pipeline risks across client group / site / global functions.

  • Identify and / or support the launch of training initiatives that develop our people in enhancing their skills and knowledge that will drive engagement and the key behaviours that align with our business strategy.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT -


  • Delivers the cyclical end-to-end Performance Review and Development process.

  • Coaches and develops leaders on the performance planning and review processes including SMART objectives, differentiating performance, and how to manage underperformance.

  • Drives the focus of performance management towards continual feedback and coaching throughout the year, as well as the quality of the performance discussions.

CULTURE & ENGAGEMENT -


  • Provides guidance, tools, and feedback to leaders to build leadership capability in support of driving an engaged workforce.

  • Works with leaders to identify barriers and deliver actions to build the desired culture.

  • Works with leaders to develop and deliver actions to address key areas of focus from the employee engagement survey, ensuring alignment with the Seqirus action plan.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS -


  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations matters.

  • Supports managers in the development and review of performance improvement plans and corrective actions.

  • Conducts confidential investigations related to misconduct to include gathering information, interviewing relevant individuals, analysing data, and preparing legally sound documentation to support all disciplinary and/or termination actions. Recommends a course of action based on the facts and coaches' management through the implementation of each action while minimizing risk and exposure for the business.

Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in human resources related field.

  • Minimum of 7+ years' experience in a progressive HR Business Partner role working in a fast paced, dynamic, and global matrixed organization.

  • Experience supporting a manufacturing operations environment, preferably in a life science environment.

  • Deep and broad knowledge of HR processes such as talent management, performance management, change management, strategic work force planning, employee engagement, and total rewards.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively understand the business and build influential relationships whereas you become a trusted advisor to the business.

  • Knowledgeable of current employment laws to ensure proper application of policy, practice and the law.

  • Ability to manage complex employee relations matters.

  • Proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel required.

  • Previous experience with Workday a plus
