The Branch Manager will learn the Pest Management industry and OPC methods from field service to office administration.
The Successful Branch Manager will be responsible for . . .
Planning and controlling the budget including revenue, profit, sales and expenses for the branch
Responsible for the recruitment, interviewing, selection and training of new employees
Developing and maintaining a network of strategic business contacts to grow sales and support customer service
Setting work hours and approving time off for personnel to meet staffing needs
Conducting annual performance appraisals on assigned personnel
Handling customer complaints; investigates and resolves customer service concerns
Scheduling and reviewing daily routes. Responsible for route completion
Determining the products/chemicals required by staff and monitor the availability and use of such products
Monitoring team vehicle use, equipment condition, and overall operating efficiency
Monitoring production goals of assigned personnel and addresses deficiencies as necessary
Recognizing excellence and mentors employees for advancement opportunities and celebrates team success
Maintaining a positive work environment by communicating consistently with service staff through formal and informal means
Taking advantage of continuing education courses to improve/increase their knowledge in the pest control industry
Displaying example for service staff by always being punctual, reliable, communicating effectively, and maintaining composure in difficult situations
Identifying opportunities for improvement of team members and provides additional training, tools or resources
Taking quick and decisive action when necessary to remedy issues, either with service staff or customers
Delegating work to service staff that would enhance their skills and allow more time for staff management duties
Leading by example and words and actions are consistent with stated company policies and procedures
Encouraging input, suggestions, and feedback by team members
Completing a minimum of $3,000 a month in production
Encouraging and monitoring for safety compliance and taking initiative to identify and correct unsafe/hazardous conditions
Responding positively to company objectives and accepts and implements change initiatives
