North America Marketing Manager, PPE
Manages the North American apparel product portfolio and supports execution of channel initiatives to deliver on the profit and net sales objectives for the North American KleenGuard PPE business. Portfolio management includes: Identifying and commercializing innovation, managing product lifecycle, price, and reducing costs to ensure profitable and sustainable growth. Channel support includes: Working closely with customer marketing team to initiate and oversea channel growth programs across industrial and ecommerce. The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as product supply, planning, customer care, regulatory, global capability, and various teams within the sales organization.
Role Accountabilities
Portfolio Management & Optimization
Manages the P&L for North American PPE category to maximize profitable growth
Partners with global brand/category teams to implement global strategy and build region-specific initiatives and competitive assessments
Partners with Global Brand Marketing to develop Category & Brand Foundations & Strategy
Partners with North American Marketing Managers & Customer Marketing to align Reasons To Believe (RTB’s) for product solutions in support of commercial innovations
Defines pricing plan based on NA pricing strategy, sets prices for the US and Canada and manages price increases for assigned product categories; Approves pricing discounts / deals and monitors value equation competitiveness and adjusts appropriately to deliver sales and profit targets
Supports NA Regulatory team with market specific information for assigned product categories
Ensures products are aligned to regulatory requirements
Leads life cycle maximization Product Changes
Commercialization
Partners with US & Canada Marketing, Sales Team & Supply Chain, develop ongoing product forecasts & launch volumes for new products for assigned product categories
Partners with US & Canada Marketing Managers & Customer Marketing team members to lead the development & execution of product commercialization plans for value creation & life cycle maximization projects for NA. Supports Marketing & Customer Marketing team members on innovation & renovation projects
Partners with Central Digital Operations team to develop & execute digital sales tools, websites, SEO/SEM etc
Partners with Sales Capability / Effectiveness to build capability of sales organization in assigned product categories to improve sales closure rates
Partners with Channel Marketing & Sales team to define channel marketing plan per market, including launch plans for life cycle maximization projects. Overseas channel growth programs across industrial and ecommerce
Standard Work
Provides marketing support and is primary interface with our internal sales organization including tender support, promotional requests, datasheet requirements, price increase support, out of stock communications
Standard product management responsibilities include building demand forecast and supply planning support
Manages product data & maintain accuracy in the PIM system for locally sourced products within assigned product categories; lead the creation of new codes in SAP system for local SKUs and the extensions of new codes in SAP system. Maintains assigned product claims per the product legal requirements. Manages local legal approval (where appropriate) for assigned products
Ensures all local marketing content is uploaded & maintained in the Digital Asset Management System
Leads the translation and activation of the Brand Identity Guidelines for NA
Monitors performance of marketing programs (ROI) and adjusts accordingly
Manages assigned marketing budget within CFI’s
Actively visits customers and channel partners to capture insights and check and adjust marketing programs
Acts as a member of the Brand Management Community of Practice to share & learn best practices
Education & Experience
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree, in business-related discipline
8-12 years of experience in marketing / brand management / sales roles with a demonstrated track record of achievement and growth in leadership behavior
Strong understanding of financial levers through P&L management, preferably in a regulated/technical space
Product & technology development and working with R&D, Manufacturing & Product Supply
Strong project management.
Resolving complex problems and translating to business opportunities
Strong analytical, decision-making, influence, communication and presentation skills.
Able to inspire, motivate, and lead multifunctional teams to achieve outstanding results across cultures and geographies in a matrix organization. Managing & successfully influencing complex stakeholder relationships
Able to make tough, informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track.
Preferred:
Masters / MBA with concentration in Marketing
Experience in a B2B environment
Commercial / Functional Skills
Product & portfolio management including managing projects through gate processes
Strong understanding of brand & category foundational tools
