Job Description:

The position requires knowledge of finance, operations, and sales. This role is responsible for inputting, exporting and maintaining data integrity in Quidel's newly implemented Rapid response Sales and Operations system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Maintains and tracks metrics and key performance indicators (KPI)

  • Gathers inputs and scopes business reporting needs and data requirements

  • Works closely with management, determining status of supply chain, production, and distribution over multiple planning horizons

  • Responsible for establishing data extraction and manipulation processes, and building business analytical models to support analytical tasks, S&OP planning and supply chain economic analysis

  • Collaborates with the demand planning team, creates production work orders, maintains production work orders, creates transfer orders, and allocates current inventory and planned production outputs to dimensions within the demand plan.

  • Assists in identifying data inconsistencies and errors

  • Completes additional ad-hoc analyses and reporting as needed

  • Provide reports on a weekly basis or as requested

  • Performs other tasks and projects as needed

INTERACTIONS:
Works closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales & Marketing, Technical Support, Finance Department, and Planning regarding Demand inputs and outputs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normal office environment, moderate to heavy phones, long periods of sitting, and flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 25% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 75% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Occasional travel may be required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.






Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted

  • Zero (0) to three (3) years of related S&OP analytical experience such as, Operations Management support, Accounting, Finance, Marketing Analytics, or Business Analytics


Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience consolidating, aggregating, and compiling data for analysis

  • Demonstrated understanding of data management and statistics including proficiency in Excel to include pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data manipulation

  • Statistical analysis experience may include use of Excel's Advanced Analysis ToolPak, R, Python, SSPS, SAS, STATA, MATLAB, MINITAB, Tableau, QlikSense, Microsoft Power BI, Microstrategy, Kinaxis, or similar data analysis tools

  • Understanding of forecasting, planning, inventory management, manufacturing, & supply chain related processes desired

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business language

  • Ability to conduct research into complex issues and provide solutions

  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
