Develops the Providers' Clinic Schedule.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

  2. *Creates monthly clinic schedule for Bryan Heart providers that includes: rounding rotations, procedure blocks, and Lincoln and outstate clinical assignments.

  3. Informs all parties of appropriate scheduling procedures, deadlines and communicates variances.

  4. Creates On Call and Reading providers' schedules annually.

  5. *Coordinates and communicates with outstate specialty clinic staff, Lincoln clinical staff, physicians, advanced practice providers, and supportive services.

  6. *Revises schedules as needed due to cancellations and/or additions of clinics, providers vacations and communicates information timely with the appropriate internal and external personnel.

  7. *Maintains the scheduling software system and a master clinic calendar for accuracy of providers' assignments.

  8. *Follows complex scheduling guidelines and interprets feedback from the Chief Medical Officer to appropriately make adjustments to the proposed schedules.

  9. Evaluates opportunities and/or options for scheduling system changes with the help of team leaders and the information systems specialists for scheduling software and/or Epic systems.

  10. Analyzes data to identify variances and recommends corrective actions, when necessary.

  11. Monitors, evaluates and provides requested statistical data.

  12. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.

  13. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalency required. Bachelors Degree OR Licensed Practical Nurse preferred. Prior clinical experience in a hospital and/or medical clinic desired. Minimum of two (2) years work experience in a medical setting required.
