  • The Luminate Commerce Platform team's mission is to create an end-to-end to end microservices based order management system which that enables functions at various stages within luminate commerce platform to enable order fulfillment and commerce customer experience.


  • This team builds software that leverage, messaging frameworks and innovative open source to build the platform. We build microservices that breakdown the work into the smallest domain components to enable extreme flexibility.


  • Presently our team consists of 80+ global team members in software development, QA, and Agile process owners; the team is further divided into 15+ members of 4 major existing microservices.


Our current technical landscape


  • Java, JEE, Spring Boot, Hazelcast IMDG, ReactJS Web UI.


  • Google cloud and Microsoft Azure infrastructure.


  • Agile development methodologies


  • Frameworks/Others: Reactor, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Gradle GIT.


  • Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture.


Responsibilities:


  • Helps the team get better technically and grows the organization and its individuals, in particular:


  • Inspires fellow engineers to become better at their craft and gives practical advice on writing cleaner code and effective tests.


  • Actively identifies and reduces complexity in the software artifacts and motivates team members to do the same.


  • Helps other team members to come up with simpler, more robust, and more efficient designs.


  • Inspires confidence in less experienced team members to grow by tackling hard problems, knowing they can rely on support and guidance.


  • Stimulates associates to look beyond the surface and fix the root causes rather than symptoms.


  • Evolves the hiring culture in the team, identifies skill gaps, and actively shapes job openings to ensure foreseeable requirements can be met in the future.


  • Propagates a multi-layered approach to information security and brings potential attack vectors to the team's awareness.


  • Has a head start on becoming an expert on upcoming topics by continuously extending their knowledge outside their domain of expertise.


  • Leads by example. Actively shares knowledge in their field of expertise, e.g., by contributing to open-source software projects, offering training sessions, holding conference presentations, etc.

What we are looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree and or 10+ years of equivalent experience in technology related field (for example, computer science, Information Technology, Systems Management, etc)


  • Demonstrable experience in Java, Spring boot, NoSQL Cassandra and Hazelcast


  • Must have Supply Chain product development experience. Experience in developing Supply Chain products like Order Manager System and Warehouse Management system is desirable


  • Must have experience in developing microservices with Spring Boot and hibernate


  • Must have experience in Lucene search engine library. Elasticsearch knowledge has added advantage


  • Prior experience leading S.W Developers or teams


  • Hands-on experience and/or significant familiarity with Cloud and automation tools/technologies such as (all not required): Microsoft, Amazon, Google CI/CD tool suites; IaaS, PaaS, SaaS tool suites; other tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, InSpec, Jenkins, GitHub/BitBucket, Artifactory, Maven, Docker & Kubernetes, etc.


  • Must be a self-starter, motivated individual who works well under pressure.


  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and coordinate tasks to meet multiple deadlines.


  • Ability to drive collaboration with executives, business, and technical teams to achieve effective solutions.


  • Outgoing and comfortable building cross-functional relationships


  • Effective communication skills with all levels of management


  • Flexible and resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to a high-change environment and open to new concepts and/or processes


  • Conflict resolution and negotiations skills to resolve disagreements quickly and effectively, bringing a problem-solving attitude to conflicting approaches and priorities involving others.
