Job Description

The Planner II position plans and executes customer order scheduling for Rexnord's Specialty Components Division. The primary focus is to align order requirements with operational resources through scheduling and inventory allocation procedures such that customer requirements are met in the most timely and economical manner. Manages overall planning and consumption of inventory as it relates to the production plan. Generates and maintains status reports and provides information as needed to support the cross functional team and meet On-Time-Delivery to Rexnord customers

Responsibilities


  • Plan, Schedule, and Release production orders in order to maximize on-time delivery to customers while minimizing inventory and operational costs.

  • Systematically analyze on-time performance (production and shipping) and inventory levels, derive root causes for deviations to standard, and drive corrective measures cross-functionally to achieve standard.

  • Define inventory planning and control parameters in order to maximize on-time delivery and minimize inventory.

  • Review inventory levels and take action to reduce unnecessary inventory.

  • Maintain KPI scorecard with input from team

  • Create and manage all exception reports that assist in the daily priorities of the team

  • Review sales order status and provide feedback concerning planned recovery date, sales order risks / opportunities and root cause corrective actions.

  • Participate and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Act as liaison between customer experience team, sales, production, engineering, and supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or a Technical field; or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of Planning or Scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment

  • SAP system knowledge is required

  • Demonstrated planning experience in an MRP/ERP required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel

  • Detail oriented and data driven

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills using lean methodologies

  • Inventory management experience preferred
