Job Description

As part of the unit-based team, this position is responsible for providing anesthesia support, surgical team support, and maintenance of a clean and safe environment. Included in the turnover of the operating room are housekeeping duties that include mopping the floor. Under the direction of the registered nurse, they may provide direct and indirect patient care. When in the team support role, this position will be responsible to specific anesthesiologists and are required to respond to the requests and needs as identified by those anesthesiologists.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two (2) years work experience in a hospital setting

Previous experience as an anesthesia support staff preferred.

Supply management experience preferred.

Working knowledge of Pyxis stations preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively in English reading and writing.

Certifications/License

Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association
