Summary

Responsible for weekly, monthly, and annual reporting of financial information for both internal and external stakeholders. Various other duties as described below.  This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate.

General Duties & Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• General ledger maintenance including analysis, journal entries, accruals, and reversals.


• Prepares monthly financial statements from a firmwide consolidated level to the individual office level.


• Prepare annual audited financial statements including consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows and equity rollforward, along with related footnotes to financial statements.


• Prepare annual overhead reports and assist in testing of allowable vs unallowable expenses.


• Prepare annual benefit plan reports and assist HR with audit.


• Generates weekly, monthly, etc. financial and operational information including key metrics and project management reports.


• Assists with field offices’ inquiries on project operations/administration reports, documents, and project forecast.


• Calculates monthly work in process and interoffice revenue.


• Completes weekly, monthly, etc. project monitoring, including project audits.


• Calculates monthly revenue recognition using percentage of completion method.


• Maintains General Accounting section of company intranet.


• Manages process of ensuring all accounting department processes are updated on the company intranet.


• Reconciles other general ledger accounts, including judgemental reserve accounts.


• Maintains the Fixed Asset System (FAS) including additions, retirements, monthly book depreciation and tax depreciation.


• Responsible for numerous special projects and assignments from CFO and Accounting Manager/Controller.


• Coordinate annual insurance renewals.


• Assist with acquisition accounting, including bringing new projects into accounting system.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None initially, possibly one to two employees over time.

 Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 


• Intent to obtain CPA license within the next two years.


• Strong Excel skills.
