Lead Data Scientist

Location and Travel: Richardson, TX (Remote Available, Flexible After COVID)

Job Requirements:

• Design, develop, and simulate engineering solutions for complex material handling challenges considering human/equipment interactions for the North America fulfillment network 

• Retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions or improving system performance. 


• Analyze historical data to identify trends and support decision making. 


• Provide requirements to develop analytic capabilities, platforms, and pipelines. 


• Design, size, and analyze field experiments at scale. 


• Build decision-making models and propose solution for the business problem you defined. This may include delivery of algorithms to be used in production systems. 

• Conduct written and verbal presentation to share insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication. 


• Utilize code (python or another object oriented language) for data analyzing and modeling algorithm 


• Develop, document and update simulation standards, including standard results reports 


• Analyze historical data to identify trends and support decision making. 


• Apply statistical or machine learning/deep learning knowledge to specific business problems and data. 

• Improve upon existing methodologies by developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters. 


• Provide requirements to develop analytic capabilities, platforms, and pipeline 


• Hands-on project and development work, as demanded by the project and client role. 


• Ensure projects follow operating practices for Visible and enhance the processes as needed. 


• Ensure the quality of the project meets Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) guidelines. 

• Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level 

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science Engineering, or similar. 


• 8+ Years experience with the Data Science Concepts 


• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to stakeholders to ensure alignment on project status and deliverables 


• Experience with various programming design patterns 


• 7 years of experience in Data Science/Analyicts with hands on experience in Python, R, SAS MATLAB etc 


• Experience in some BI platform (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Shiny, Dash, etc.)


• Demonstrated success in architecting new applications 


• Experience working with geographically distributed teams and partners, including managing dependencies from internal / external partners 


• Experience with Agile (SCRUM, Kanban, XP), modeling, web services, unit testing, code review, middleware and databases 


• Experience mentoring and training the engineering community on complex technical issues 


• Ability to effectively communicate with others, perform work in a team environment, and relay necessary information as appropriate. 


• Automation/scripting experience 


• Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems. 


• Strong consulting and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions.
