The Commissioning Manager leads the activities that prove equipment and systems delivered by Schneider Electric will perform per design intent to meet Schneider Electric's multi-years contractual commitments for performance. S/he works closely and collaboratively with customer and project teams throughout project lifecycle of development, implementation and sustainment to plan, execute, control and closeout commissioning activities in an environment with varying combinations of technical, organizational, regulatory and/or commercial complexity.

What do you get to do in this position?


  • Review engineering and design deliverables to ensure they are commissionable, including Key Operating and Savings Strategies and Scopes of Work. Facilitate resolution of design phase review comments specific to Cx.
  • Develop Commissioning (Cx) Approach that defines the strategy and activities necessary to prove performance. Integrate applicable Cx activities into subcontractor and/or vendor scopes of work.
  • Establish cost and staffing to implement Cx approach, including soliciting and negotiating services from 3 rd party Cx agents.
  • Review or create the project's Cx Plan that translates the Cx Approach into the Cx activities and associated sequencing of activities to transition equipment and systems from static elements of construction into dynamic systems which are in continuous operation in compliance with the project's Key Operating and Savings Strategies.
  • Facilitate collaboration between applicable parties and Schneider Electric Construction Team to incorporate logical groupings of Cx activities into project's construction schedule.
  • Collaborate with Schneider Electric's construction team to execution the Cx Plan including managing resources executing Cx activities and resolving issues identified during execution of Cx plan.

This job might be for you if:


  • Minimum 4-year college degree or technical degree
  • 10 or more years of equivalent work experience including demonstrable experience with commissioning equipment and systems in complex environments with varying degrees of technical, organizational, regulatory and/or commercial complexity
  • Demonstratable experience with commissioning power generation such as combined heat and power, microgrid controls, central steam and hydronic plants including associated distribution systems, wastewater equipment and systems, HVAC and building automation systems.
  • Effective Communication and Project Management / Organization skills
  • Strong Customer Facing and Project Team Leadership skills
  • Good understanding of HVAC, process, electrical systems and control systems
  • Ability to understand HVAC drawings, process drawings, electrical drawings, scope of work documents and schematics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word and Excel
