Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Programmer to support our North American location in Wooster, OH. This position is responsible for supporting development of the custom suite of engineering programs and developing new systems.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Maintaining existing programs and developing new programs for engineering and process improvements
Maintain and develop programs for Product Development, Prototype, Program Management, and Testing departments
Informal application of Agile development methods
Accessing SAP data
Qualified candidates will have:
Knowledge of programming, specifically in Visual Studio 2015 using Visual Basic/C#
Knowledge of and use of Databases - specificially in the construction/ modification and use of SQL server databases on the local network
Database programming using entity framework
Interface design using WPF (Windows Presentation Format)
MVC web page design with Kendo (Telerik)
Javascript and HTML
Engineerng/ Math background
SAP & Microsoft Office
Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
Assertive approach to solving problems
Continuous improvement approach
Ability to prioritize and make decisions
Bachelor of Science degree in programming or an engineering related field (comparable experience level may be acceptable)
