Responsibilities: The Prep Cook/Dish Washer is responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing. This position will prepare food with different methods of preparation and use a variety of tools and equipment. The Prep Cook/Dishwasher is also responsible for washing and sanitizing pots, pans and cooking equipment, and ensuring the dish room and equipment are clean and organized.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Will have knowledge of food preparation and production for volume restaurant and completes assigned prep work and beautification duties.
Will be able to read recipes and memorize and replicate food production procedures.
Will have the ability to understand and follow direction from others and is able to work well in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
Possesses a clear understanding of weights and measures and have proficient math skills.
Must have the ability to perform multiple functions at once and the ability to handle the public in a friendly and professional manner.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally; establish and maintain working relationships with employees and the public.
Will have knowledge of health standards and ability to communicate effectively. Ability to comply with the Health Department and other governmental agency regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ensures dishes and cookware are sanitized and available as needed.
Maintains daily cleanliness and maintenance of 3-compartment sink.
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, service area, and kitchen throughout shift.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
Bending, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice or taking out trash.
Constant face-to-face interactions with team members and guests.
Safely navigate in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Most shifts are between six to eight hours, but this may vary.
Team Members can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend and/or holiday hours and may have additional opening/closing responsibilities.
