Job Description:

What you will do:



  • The Account Executive for the Joint Venture group will have an integral role in the day-to-day management of the JV client portfolios and Alternative Energy relationships, while assisting in developing strategies for workout clients, and supporting the group with new JV opportunities.

  • Responsible to ensure the Joint Ventures and Alternative Energy relationships are managed according to approved Standard Operating Procedures and Underwriting requirements.

  • Closely monitor individual JV Client performance and Risk Ratings on a routine basis and provide feedback/recommendations.

  • Prepare the client credit narratives (CAR) or amendments for approval of any changes to existing facilities.

  • Work closely with various groups (BDO’s, UW’s, JV Partners) to assist in the underwriting and onboarding of new prospective Joint Venture clients.

  • Review due diligence and required documentation on all new Joint Venture clients to ensure information is accurate and meets SOP and underwriting requirements.

  • Support Joint Venture Partner field examinations to understand collateral and financial trends.

  • Assist with internal and external audits of the Joint Ventures and Alternative Energy transactions and work with JV group to provide appropriate responses and supporting documentation.

  • Review month-end reporting for all JV’s and Alternative Energy and prepare the necessary reports for Crestmark/Meta.

  • Provide support in the underwriting of prospective Alternative Energy transactions, reviewing appraisals, cost certifications, and independent engineering reports.

  • Responsible for monitoring the Alternative Energy portfolio to ensure solar projects and fuel cells leases are performing as expected and underwriting requirements are being met.

  • Review and assist in preparation of monthly watch credit materials and Adverse Asset Reports.

  • Review and provide feedback on JV and Alternative Energy group financial operating performance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned. This position will normally have some overlap in the job functions of the Joint Venture Commercial Underwriter who is responsible for underwriting the various JV products: term loans, leases, factoring, asset-based lines of credit, alternative energy sale-leasebacks, etc. 

  • Manage portfolio through complete and current knowledge of client’s financial condition, management’s performance, and industry trends, and take timely action so client losses are minimized and do not exceed budgeted standards.

  • Responsible for ensuring all advances and loans comply with loan policy and approved structure.

  • Attain an acceptable contribution to overhead and/or profit from each client arrangement to achieve individual profit objective.

  • Responsible for documenting all relationships to ensure approved and required legal documentation.

  • Resolve factoring and asset-based lending service problems, control operational costs, and minimize loss of clients to competition.

  • Propose changes in policies and procedure to reduce costs and provide better and more efficient services.

  • Develop and operate within individual budget to control expenses.

  • Structure and underwrite changes to existing deals for management approval.
