The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Lean Value Stream Engineer Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing value stream leadership for our structural adhesives business within our Automotive & Aerospace Solutions Division Bonding & Joining portfolio; value streams in scope include structural adhesives film, liquids, sealants, and void fillers used in the aerospace and automotive markets


• Leading cross-functional teams for Strategy Deployment and Value Stream Improvement planning & execution


• Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), and Change Management projects (CMP)


• Leading new technology development and deployment


• Implementing Supply Chain Architecture initiatives, including portfolio network design and global capacity & operations improvements.


• Providing work direction & priorities for LVS engineers working within portfolio, but no direct reporting responsibility.  

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


• Eight (8) years of combined engineering experience in a product/process development and/or a manufacturing role in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Five (5) years of cross functional team leadership experience


• Experience with any of the following technologies:  batch and continuous mixing & packaging, extrusion, solvent and non-solvent web coating, web converting


• Experience with lean value stream improvement tools & techniques


• Experience within Automotive or Aerospace industries


• Experience leading people or large project teams

Travel: May include up to 15% domestic and/or international

Relocation Assistance:  May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
