Job Description

The Customer Logistics Capabilities Transformation team is accountable for process mining and reporting analytics to ensure supply chain business process and technology capabilities are effective and efficient. The data scientist role will focus on analytics development and insights to drive successful transformational activities related to Order Management and Distribution. The incumbent must possess a combination of advanced analytical thinking and data mining skills, experience in data architecture design and development in addition to experience with algorithms and coding. This technical role will create and maintain a robust data architecture for process mining, develop KPI metrics, automation, and analyses to use for sustained problem-solving.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Accountable to analyze and interpret customer supply chain processes to influence strategic and tactical efficiency recommendations.


  • Leverage advanced technical and functional expertise to identify insights and bring to life through development of data analyses and visualizations: Power BI/Query and Celonis PQL (SQL) metrics and analyses, and Tableau


  • Leverage analytical insights and analysis to drive operational improvements and transformations from Excel-based tools / Tableau dashboards to efficient, standardized, and sustainable analyses


  • Influence and develop new strategic automations and leverage machine learnings through Celonis platform


  • Leverage strong technical acumen to advance data architecture strategy, accuracy and availability


  • Develop and maintain robust data analytics capabilities to optimize centralized and self-service reporting needs


  • Partner with key Supply Chain teams, DTS Analytics team and vendor to enable robust data analytics


  • Identify and optimize complex operational processes through Celonis process-mining analyses development


  • Use data to align, develop and mobilize supply chain best practices that deliver improved service, reduced distribution cost & complexity, and enable inventory reductions at K-C and the customer.


  • Strong project management knowledge to develop, lead and execute tasks including timeline management, risk assessment, and action item management to ensure delivered results


  • Build strong sustainable business relationships at various levels throughout the organization and key customers


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education required:

  • Bachelors or Advanced degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related technical field

Experience:


  • 8-12 years of business experience with at least four years of cross-functional Supply Chain Customer Service or Distribution experience preferred


  • 3-5 years of working experience in data science, analytics and/or data modeling


  • Advanced analytics, data visualization, and reporting dashboard design and development experience


  • Knowledge of or willingness / ability to learn new analytical and automation tools


  • Demonstrated leadership in executing innovative solutions through process and technology


Preferred Experience / Qualifications:


  • Working knowledge of Kimberly-Clark’s supply chain interactions


  • Strong technical/analytic skills and experience in multiple platforms (SAP R/3 and Business Warehouse (BW) reporting, Tableau, Power BI, Power Query)


  • Experience with statistical modeling, advanced coding skills and Excel functionality


  • Experience with relational database structure and design, SQL, SAP HANA / VDMs


  • Demonstrated experience in strategic problem-solving, analytical thinking and influence


  • Work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrated proficiency in: oral & written communication, interpersonal skills, adaptability, change management and project management

Reports to Customer Logistics Solutions Sr Manager

KEY CUSTOMERS AND PROCESS PARTNERS:

Customer Service teams (CLSS, Digital Commerce, Walmart), Logistics Capabilities, Distribution & Global Supply Chain

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Travel may include approximately 10% of work time. Travel may also include travel via aircraft and motor vehicles to various locations, if applicable. Varying working conditions may include prolonged sitting, typing and viewing computer/laptop screens, along with occasional bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, climbing, twisting, stooping, walking and standing.
