We are currently seeking a Design Engineer to be based in Foothill Ranch, CA. The Design Engineer is responsible for providing expertise in the area of Product Development, both in industrial design and product development of new and existing products in the field of medical lasers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Design new product concepts,  components and product assemblies, including optical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical components, develop complete specifications.


• Provide expertise on manufacturability, cost effectiveness and reliability of parts as they relate to specific manufacturing technologies.


• Communicate with suppliers, order prototype parts, test, validate and release them for manufacturing.


• Support Sustaining Engineering activities such as cost reduction and existing product enhancements.


• Support Manufacturing and QA in solving production problems related to manufacturing processes or components design.


• Must be proficient with SolidWorks, 3D modeling and dimensional drawings 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Engineering or industrial design college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
