One of the primary roles of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis as part of the Federal Reserve System, the nation's central bank, is to contribute to the System's mandated goals of price stability and maximum employment.
The key missions of the Research Division are to support the Bank's President in monetary policy and to conduct high quality economic research. The Division is composed of the Research Department and the Opportunity and Inclusive Growth Institute. They share their expertise with academia and policy makers through presentations, conferences, and publications.
The Division is seeking a Technology and Analytic Manager in Research Information Services (RIS), part of the Division's Support function. The RIS Manager will oversee a staff of information professionals and provide academic support to the Division. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President in Research Support.
Responsibilities
Directs and coordinates the activities of Research Information Services, which encompass data and textual resource procurement and management, publications support, metadata management, archives, web management, and reference and research assistance, ensuring optimal day-to-day and long-term operational objectives are met.
Supports official staff in the effective and efficient administration of the Division, which includes
Leads compliance with System and local policies, coordinates work assignments and implementation efforts, leads change and process improvement efforts.
Manages a staff of 4 that includes project manager and IT architect roles. Develops, motivates, and evaluates performance of staff, which includes managing staff to identify developmental assignments and training opportunities, working with individuals on their career goals, delegating responsibilities, providing timely feedback, and evaluating performance. Plays a key role in the full cycle of employment matters.

Candidates for this position must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum combined eight years of related professional and supervisory/management experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, leadership skills, and advanced proficiency using standard business applications and software.
Strong ability to conceptualize, plan, develop, and coordinate, technical of varying scale and complexity.
Proven ability to lead people to accomplish results.
Preferred Qualifications
A professional level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a Master's degree in Data, Information, or Library Sciences or a related field.
Work experience in an academic department, library, data center, archives, or similar setting.
Ability to work well in a team-based and self-directed environment.
