Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier is seeking a Group Leader - Prototype to support our North American location in Wooster, OH. This position is responsible for leading the prototype planning team in order to ensure on-time delivery and cost effectiveness of prototypes for the eMobility and Transmission Business Divisions.
Key duties include but not limited to:
Providing prototype costs estimates, estimated component timing, and developing the prototype master timing plan
Establish a recovery plan and follow up on overdue orders
Make adjustments to the weekly prototype delivery plan as needed
Ensure all information is collected and the plan developed is achievable
Provide oversight and direction to employees in accordance with Schaeffler policies and procedures as well as assist employees in setting goals
Qualified candidates will have:
Product knowledge
Project management experience
Experience in manufacturing processes such as CNC Machining, Grinding, Welding, Stamping, Heat Treatment, and Assembly operations
Strong proficiency with MS Office
SAP experience preferred
Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
Strong leadership skills
Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)

Bachelor's degree required
