Position Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is an advanced allied health professional with demonstrated skills and competency in all required General and Cardiac Nuclear Medicine modalities provided in the hospital. Under general supervision, performs all General and Cardiac Nuclear Medicine procedures within the scope of the Nuclear Medicine Department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

• Ability to perform all aspects of Nuclear Medicine imaging.
• Ability to perform all functions in radiopharmaceutical management.
• Ability to communicate pertinent patient information to the radiologist.
• Ability to evaluate the demands of physicians, patients, staff and superiors.
• Ability to effectively identify and implement performance improvement techniques.
• Ability to deliver quality customer service.

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• Three years of experience in all areas where routine Nuclear Medicine procedures are provided to include geriatric, adult, adolescent, and neonate patient populations.

• CNMT required
• NMTCB or ARRT (NM) required
• IV Certification required.
• CRT preferred
• American Heart Association BLS (CPR for Health Care Provider) required
