REPORTS TO: VP of Human Resources

We are seeking a Benefits Manager to join our growing Human Resources Team.  The Benefits Manager will manage all aspects of the Corporate Benefits function and will provide superior customer service to Employees and the Human Resources Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Maintain the day-to-day operations of our 401(k) plan and our group health & welfare benefits programs, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Short & Long Term Disability, Voluntary benefits, Life Insurance and our FSAs and HSA to ensure accurate and effective administration;

  • Educate employees on various benefit and retirement plan provisions;

  • Work with brokers and benefit providers as necessary to research and resolve employee benefit claim issues, mid-year changes, and new employee enrollments;

  • Update employee benefit enrollments in vendor and HRIS systems;

  • Oversee the administration of LOA, FMLA and STD leave requests;

  • Handle ADA cases, reasonable accommodations and Worker’s Compensation claims;

  • Oversee the 3rd party COBRA Administration;

  • Oversee ACA process;

  • Create queries and reports to provide data for a variety of internal reporting requirements and HR projects & activities as it relates to benefits;

  • Reconcile bills for all benefit vendors on a monthly basis;

  • Ensure compliance with mandatory benefit plan notifications and disclosures to participants;

  • Participate in the annual open enrollment process.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent benefits experience;

  • 5 -7 years of benefits administration experience;

  • Experience working in a multi-state environment (California experience is a plus);

  • Experience working with HRIS software (UKG/Ultimate experience is a plus).

  • Must be customer service oriented; demonstrated ability to dig in and resolve issues;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to interact with employees of all levels and ability;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
