Our “BSSe – Business Support Systems Evolution” team is looking for a “Senior – Tech Business Analyst” who is passionate about sales, ordering, billing platforms and has analytical and multi-tasking abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The BSSe program is seeking to transform our sales, ordering, product/offer catalog, billing systems; deliver an omni-channel sales experience, and significantly reduce our overall cost structure.
About the Job
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned business analyst with an extensive background in sales, ordering, product/offers, billing efforts. This role is responsible for leading agile ceremonies, project documentation, developing user stories, technical enablers, and product backlogs by acting as a liaison/Product Owner Delegate between business stakeholders and architects/delivery teams to align business needs with a technical architecture and end-solution. This person should have an intimate knowledge of the current state of the technology platform, and the needs of the product management teams to envision future platform capabilities and support delivery teams in achieving the desired future state.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Play the role of a Product Owner/Product Owner Delegate and work closely with various product managers to create and groom good quality features and user stories for prioritized epics
Plan and conduct stakeholder interviews to gather requirements and / or understand current business processes.
Develop and maintain product backlog(s) and coordinate with others on dependent stories.
Prepare requirements packages, features, user stories, participate in grooming sessions, manage requirements traceability changes, artifacts, as well as develop reference and resource materials.
Drive, develop and maintain numerous project deliverables that support the program, including functional and non-functional specifications
Lead Agile ceremonies, driving the discussion for sprint planning and user story refinement.
Clarify requirements questions during technical design, architecture, development and sprint testing
Work with Architect and development teams to design overall solution
Field questions from stakeholders / end users during user acceptance testing and perform triage; identify potential options to aid in the resolution process.
Support various testing activities - User Acceptance Testing, End-to-End testing, Production Validation/Green Room testing
Collaborate with the development team to ensure designs meet customer requirements.
Identify and raise process inefficiencies as they relate to products.
Provide mentoring to less experienced employees in the immediate group and provide guidance and support to team members as needed.
Meet training requirements and follow established procedures and propose new procedures.
Provide reasonable estimates for work products.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
5 or more years of business analysis experience with proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
Experience within high tech, software and/or wireless/telecom industry highly desired
Solid technical background with understanding and/or experience in software development, and web technologies
Strong background in Lean and Agile principles, and passion for Continuous Improvement
Experience in driving and gathering requirements, prioritization, assessments and solutioning
Experience in working with both the business and technical team, coordinating/leading solution design, development/configuration, and deployment across multi-dimensional teams.
Experience working within scaled agile development team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, and senior leaders
