The Senior Manager Sales is responsible for controlling all sales activities regarding defined projects and daily business.  In addition, this role focuses on the continuous improvement of customer relations and mutual information flow.   The position will build up confidence and take care of innovative, technical competencies with the aim of receiving orders. This is a highly visible role within the Company and will take the lead on sales opportunities for North America.

Supervisory Capacity:   May or May Not Have Supervisory Responsibilities

Essential Functions


  • Cultivate strong internal and external customer focus by delivering the YF mission, vision, values, and culture.

  • Set up quotations in co-operation with Engineering, Costing, Purchasing and Operations as well as order negotiations

  • Control yearly negotiations. Guarantee actual status of piece price lists.

  • Work out future projects.  Collaborate within project SDT’s.

  • Provision and updating of information for:  Customer Organization, Purchasing Strategies, Technical Development, Customer Contacts

  • Collection and analysis of information / data regarding customer satisfaction as well as initiation and follow up of improvement measure

  • Active communication regarding potential improvements / innovations regarding products and processes (towards customer; internal)

  • Collaborate regarding BU Sales strategy.

  • Prepare and realize presentations.

  • Represent the company and operations in its relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers. 

  • Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, and new industry developments and standards.

  • Evaluate the success of the organization and immediately address failures.

3-5 Years of Sales & Project Management; Leadership Role

5-9 Years of Experience within the automotive industry


  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

  • Commercial / technical knowledge

  • Understanding for production/quality processes within Automotive Industry

  • Strong focus on and experience in Customer relationship and customer strategy

  • Profit plan management experience

  • Project management within international environment

  • Experience Matrix- and Project organization within international environment


Preferred:


  • Public speaking skills:  This role is often presenting information in front of large groups, customer meetings with executives

  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and experience that can earn the respect of a diverse workforce and play a lead role in creating an inclusive culture at all levels of the organization.

Language:

Required:          English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)

Preferred:          Spanish, Chinese
