Survey CAD Technician

Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking aresponsible, highly motivated, and detail oriented individual to join our Land Surveying department in the Sarasota, FL area as a Survey CAD Technician. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment as a member of a survey department, assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of way acquisition, transmission line, and construction surveys. The position has opportunity for advancement for motivated individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required.

Responsibilities

Assist the survey manager with all aspects field crew preparation.
• Process field collection files and database maintenance.


• Prepare digital terrain models and contouring.


• Deed, plat & document research, title&easement review.


• Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations.


• Inventory of field survey supplies.


• Prepare as-built, boundary, topographic, tree & utility survey deliverables.


• Work in the field on as-needed basis

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Must have a High School Diploma (Minimum).


• Two years of survey experience required.


• Must have strongmathematical skills.


• Must have Auto-CADand Micro-station/Geopak computer skills.


• Must be able to communication effectively.


• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass a driving record check.


• Must pass drug and alcohol test.


• Must be dependable.


• Ability to obtain a security clearance is a plus.


• Must be able to work overtime as required.
