If you are a Product Management professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our SHAKOPEE, MN location, you will become part of the Digital Transformation Business unit where you will work globally with customers, sales, world area marketing, and engineering to manage the lifecycle of assigned Pervasive Sensing products, define and develop new products, product modifications, and buyout strategies to increase market share and expand into new markets. You will have a strong voice in driving innovation within the company to improve the range of solutions we can offer to support global digital transformation initiatives. AS A PRODUCT MANGER, YOU WILL: 

Global Responsibilities


  • Lead product management activities for assigned products/product lines.
  • Assist in new product development incorporating the voice of the customer into the new product development process and engaging with design engineering and other functional teams to assure customer needs and business financial targets are met.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and internal and external champion for assigned products/product lines.
  • Participate in pricing and discount structure strategy and execution.
  • Participate with salesforce, world area marketing, and business development and Integrated Marketing to identify customer facing initiatives required to achieve growth goals.
  • Ensures required product collateral (Product Data Sheet, Configuration Data Sheet, Manual, Quick Start Guide, Price List) is available and maintained throughout the product life cycle.
  • Supports timely resolution of Customer and Rapid Response feedback about assigned products/product line. Works with global quality team to implement product safety/quality notifications.
  • Works with Global Training team to help develop single, globalized sales, customer care and service training material for assigned products/product line. Works with Global Training team to help develop customer training plans and material.

World Area Responsibilities


  • Assists in transactional market pricing, ensuring the World Area DOA is updated and appropriate.
  • Assist in the launch of new products in local markets and evaluates sales channel readiness to sell assigned products
  • Develops knowledge and expertise with the world area sales channel, customer care, and operations for assigned product and technology.
  • Participate in the development of WA sales incentive programs that drive focus for assigned products by working closely with WA Sales Management and Global Product Management
  • Helps to identify training needs, tools, and other resources required for world area sales to achieve product line growth. Communicates key application and customer success stories/proven results within World Area for Sales, Global Product Management and Integrated Marketing.
  • Helps to train new field sales and inside sales on local product strategies, portfolio tiers, pricing, and local competition
  • Work closely with world area sales management to host customer visits at local factories, sales offices, or customer sites

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • BS in Engineering 
  • Six (6) years related experience 
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States 

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • MBA preferred 
  • Experience with wireless and digital transformation
