EHR Trainer at Central Ohio Primary Care

Job Description:

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a full time EHR Trainer for our central business office in Westerville, OH. The EHR Trainer is responsible for providing training to all employees both new hires and existing employees along with providing support at the practice level for go lives and workflow analysis.  The EHR Trainer will assist with questions related to the EHR system. This position gives guidance to all EHR users at Central Ohio Primary Care practice sites and facilities. Responsibilities include acting as an area expert for the EHR system and providing training and support for EHR System.  This position works closely with the EHR Helpdesk, EHR Medical Records, management, Physicians and ancillary office and administrative staff to facilitate effective education and training on the system. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Assist in developing and facilitating a collaborative, positive team environment to support 350 providers at 65+ physician offices.

•Prepare and deliver effective training for all new hires, special training sessions and Providers.

•Provide training on all new system updates and changes.

•Prepare evaluations on each training session.

•Guide and advise both clinical and clerical staff at COPC when using eClinicalWorks. Provide troubleshooting and resolutions as needed. 

•Travel to offices and provide support to the Providers and staff of Central Ohio Primary Care during office go-lives and for system issues. Act as a resource when system issues are identified at sites and ancillaries. 

•Participate in “site visits” providing assistance and training to office staff and Providers. Understand the office workflow and utilization of the EHR system including answering, tracking, and making calls to Central Ohio Primary Care Providers and personnel. 

•Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Experience working in a Healthcare setting using EHR system

Education, Licensures & Certifications 

Required: High School diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•Strong understanding of the use and functionality of an EHR system

•Strong computer skills, telephone etiquette, customer service 

•Strong Microsoft Suite skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) 

•Excellent time management skills

•Ability to communicate efficiently both verbally and written 

•Ability to work in a team setting 

•Ability to multitask and manage projects to meet deadlines

•Advanced knowledge of Windows & MS Office products

•Knowledge of EHR systems including EClinicalWorks
