JOB SUMMARY
The Division Manager will be responsible for leading sales execution in New York for The Wine Group portfolio of brands through all channels of trade including Retail Chains, On Premise and Fine Wine/Specialty Retailers. In addition, The Division Manager will be responsible for managing the New York TWG sales team and is responsible for developing and executing pricing/programming strategies in conjunction with wholesaler contacts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement Annual Operating Plan which includes financial, volume (shipments and depletions) and distribution objectives for New York
Responsible for building and owning relationships with senior management (EVP, VP, GM, etc.) at assigned distributors, becoming their lead point contact for all TWG communication
Manage depletion and distribution objectives for all trade channels
Lead selling responsibilities in collaboration with wholesaler account executives for key New York off and on premise accounts
Manage direct reports (Upstate NY Area Manager, Metro NY Area Manager, NY On Premise Area Manager) – Training, development, coaching and accountability for delivering annual plan
Responsible for organizing and conducting quarterly business reviews
Schedule and lead effective distributor sales meetings – all levels of management
Develop and implement focus brand goals monthly to raise distributor awareness of TWG priority initiatives, and distributor execution share of mind.
Manage budgets in the following categories: Pricing, Incentives, Customer support, along with Travel and Entertainment expenses and other departmental expenses
Introduce creative sales execution concepts, share across state lines/regions if successful, and aspire to be a thought leader in best practices within the Region
Ensure all sales practices are compliant with NY laws and company policies
Administrative Responsibilities:
Complete and review monthly scorecard reports (depletions and distribution) with RVP
Complete any relevant Travel and Entertainment expenses on a weekly basis
Run monthly sales reports
Other miscellaneous reporting/tracking requests from management

QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred seven or more years of sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry or related business with a knowledge and passion for both commercial and premium wines
Must have a strong understanding and working knowledge of retail, on premise and distributor pricing structures
BA degree or equivalent experience and proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Intermediate wine knowledge or associated certifications preferred
Well organized with ability to work both independently and within team environment
Must be adaptive to change within organization and industry
Results oriented, innovative, strong problem solving and negotiation skills
Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace
Ability to work and succeed in dynamic entrepreneurial environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willing to travel with overnight stays, as needed
Display integrity, character and strong leadership skills
Support and model all company procedures and policies
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to travel frequently between home office, client sites, and industry meeting/events
Primary work activities are within an office environment
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
