The Cognizant global in-house creative team concepts and develops creative for the company’s global campaigns and communications. The graphic designer / motion specialist will report to the art director and drive day-to-day visual design and video creation. Ideal candidates are strong communicators who are equal parts traditional graphic designer and video editor. Designers must be detail-oriented and able to fine-tune for consistency. Candidates should possess a passion for design and be driven by a curiosity for creativity. The designer will work closely with art directors, creative directors, copywriters, account managers, project managers and other designers in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

Responsibilities include concepting, developing and implementing designs for a variety of marcom deliverables, including static and animated digital ads, web pages, social media, events, print collateral, powerpoint and various video and animation media. Designers will concept and create for our internal and external communications, including advertising, sponsorships and client-facing deliverables. A multi-faceted skillset is desired. Experience in Adobe CC, including Adobe Premiere and After-Effects is a must. Experience in Adobe Animate is a plus.

Specific Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field


• 3+ years experience in design & motion graphics


• Mastery of graphic design principles (typography, form, color, composition, grid)


• Advanced Skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, After-Effects, Premiere)


• Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word


• Understanding of basic HTML5, CSS and Java a plus


• Excellent creative concepting/ideation skills, with the ability to move fast


• Demonstrated understanding and experience in digital graphic design


• Strong ability to multi-task, working on several competing priorities as part of a fast-paced team


• Strong ability to prioritize and reprioritize throughout the day with great efficiency


• Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills


• Strong presentation skills, with ability to articulate visual concepts to executives


• Strong ability to engage and collaborate across all levels and teams within the broader org


• Extreme attention to detail and consistency, with an inherent drive for creative excellence


• Strict adherence to Cognizant brand and visual identity


• Design portfolio required, or samples of work sent with resume
