JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the mid-tier technical support for back-end application and IT Infrastructure.  Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, support of the server and desktop environment; triage the troubleshooting of all hardware and supporting operating systems; support in the creation and updating of process documentation, vendor interface for support and information gathering, system patching, basic AD support functionality, application upgrades, coordination of deliverables with User community and Business Groups, and after hours support. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                     


  1. Administration tasks associated to level 1 support of the Windows/Intel (Wintel) environment including servers and desktop systems.

  2. Administration tasks associated to level 1 support of the data storage environment, including any storage and archiving systems.

  3. Performs Level 1 Technical Support of desktop applications and network connectivity.

  4. Performs the operational tasks to support the daily process cycles.

  5. Administration of the operations reporting infrastructure including the creation and maintenance of ad hoc reporting.

  6. Deploys desktop hardware systems in end-user environments.

  7. Provides training guidance on application use and connectivity.

  8. Responsible for familiarity with the technology systems in the process of branch opening and closings.

  9. Assists in the development specifications based on input from business stakeholders.

  10. Helps monitor and maintain equipment to insure non-interruption of service. Escalates any performance issues to the Systems Administrator Supervisor or IT Manager.

  11. Liaison with other departments and organizations. This would include issues involving proper system use, special requirements, and/or training needs.

  12. Provides support to Level 2+ System Engineers.

  13. Day-to-Day Maintenance of the Windows AD Infrastructure and Group Policies as directed by the System Engineers and Management.

  14. Assistance with the Day-to-Day Maintenance of a Microsoft Exchange Mail Platform.

  15. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


  • General understanding of desktop applications and tools such as anti-virus, maintenance and performance monitoring.

  • General understanding of report systems (such as Crystal Reports) – preferred.

  • Understanding of archiving/back-up systems, procedures and methodologies.

  • Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.

  • Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and long-term basis.

  • Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management.

  • Ability to make informal and formal presentations, inside and outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other groups as needed.

  • Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.

  • Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:


  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3+ years of related experience and/or training.  Work related experience must consist of 3+ years of experience performing daily administration responsibilities in a Microsoft Windows IT Infrastructure environment (including familiarity of Active Directory).

  • 2+ years working within a Microsoft Exchange environment.

  • 3+ years providing end-user phone and on-site technical support of software and hardware issues

  • 3+ years deploying hardware systems (PC’s, laptops and servers).

  • Understanding of security methodologies and procedures preferred.

  • General understanding of report systems (such as Crystal Reports) preferred.




Salary: $54,114.00
