OVERVIEW

CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Power - Gen & Energy in Parsippany, NJ.

CHA utilizes steel, concrete, masonry, timber, aluminum, fiber-reinforced plastic, and other materials to design the framework for most projects we produce. With nearly 200 years of combined structural engineering experience, our engineers can solve clients' needs, utilizing creative solutions to design efficient structures that safely support the loads and resist the forces imparted on them. Governmental, industrial, manufacturing, institutional, municipal, sports, water/wastewater, aviation, and communication are only a fraction of the market sectors we have the experience and ability to service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under direct supervision, the Engineer I will assist in the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The Engineer I will aid senior engineering staff in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. This individual will work on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is preferred

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• No prior experience required; however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferred


• Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline


• Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field


• Familiar with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required


• Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist mid and senior level engineering and project management staff


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Participation in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
