Position Overview

As the Technical Program Manager you are responsible for the planning, management, communication, and governance of Citrix IT's programs and projects in a collaborative and fast-paced, high-energy, and value-driven environment. This position requires an experienced program management professional who lead delivery of projects and programs in a consistent, transparent, and organized manner, while also having the ability to flex between the strategic and the tactical responsibilities. The scope of your responsibilities will include managing programs of large scope, impact, and complexity through all phases of the lifecycle. You will manage interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization. This position is an Individual Contributor and reporting to the PMO.

Role Responsibilities


  • Formulates, organizes and monitors inter-connected projects and programs


  • Brings clarity on requirements aligned cross-functionally with clear success-criteria (data-driven)


  • Creates an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts


  • Manage Program/Project delivery by:


  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives


  • Coordinate cross-project activities


  • Resolve projects' scope issues


  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities


  • Apply change, risk and resource management


  • Assume responsibility for the program's people and vendors


  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI


  • Champions continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coaches teams to conduct continuous improvements projects


  • Seeks opportunities for improvement to the overall effectiveness of teams and organization


  • Communicates status, results and challenges to leadership; clears risks and issues for the team


  • Embraces the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instills the same in the project/program team(s) you lead


  • Facilitates getting the work done without relying on dictating or assigning the work


  • Drives discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution across project and program actions


  • Assists with internal and external communication and change management efforts, improving transparency, and driving adoption


  • Demonstrates an analytical approach to troubleshooting of issues, performing root cause analysis, and defining impacts


Basic Qualifications


  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.


  • Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of Program Management experience; or a Master's degree with 3 years; or a PhD without experience.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience and certification in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred


  • Skilled at dealing with ambiguity in a rapidly growing and changing environment


  • Aptitude for identifying areas for improvement and developing appropriate new processes


  • Ability to lead without authority to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion


  • Ability to develop strong cross-team relationships and partnerships


  • Strong communication and negotiations skills


  • Technical enough to be comfortable asking questions to dig into development issues, quickly gather and synthesize information, devise a plan, get buy-in and move towards resolution. Strong understanding of applications, infrastructure, and security capability is a plus.


  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
