We're looking for an Experienced Geologist with at least 2 years of experience to join our geo-environmental practice in Kennesaw, GA office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Hydrogeological and geological data analysis and interpretation, data analysis to support development of groundwater models.

  • Designing and managing hydrogeologic investigation projects including monitoring well installation, aquifer testing (slug testing, pumping test) and aquifer testing data analysis.

  • Analysis, interpretation, and management of environmental data using applicable data management/spreadsheet, databases, Geographic Information System (GIS), statistical, and graphing computer applications; and preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

  • Designing, managing, and drawing conclusions from remedial investigation projects. The investigation projects will involve soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas, indoor air, and/or sediment.

  • Evaluating remedial alternatives, developing feasibility studies and remedial action plans for soil and groundwater projects.

  • Project management responsibilities, including tracking project budgets, tracking project schedules, and preparing client invoice materials.

  • Providing client development and marketing support, including proposal generation, for investigation and remediation projects through the Southeast or nationally.

Based on your current level of experience, you may be asked to take on task-level or project management responsibilities, along with business development, and staff mentoring tasks.

  • Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.


  • Fieldwork: Up to 25%


  • Overnight travel: Up to 25%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:



  • Bachelor's in geology or hydrogeology. [required]

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in geology or hydrogeology. [preferred]

  • Professional Geologist license. [preferred]


SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS



  • At least 2 years of experience in an environmental consulting environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. [required]

  • Strong oral and technical writing skills. [required]

  • An outstanding track record for client management and technical leadership. [preferred]

  • Project experience involving hydrogeologic investigation, groundwater flow and fate /transport models, remedial design of complex, multi-media projects. [required]

  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
