Overview

We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for manufacturing and quality. In this leadership role you will create the processes, tools and procedures to help continuously improve our manufacturing infrastructure and process by improving every aspect of product quality.

This position will ensure that all external and internal quality assurance standards are met before our product reaches our customer. Primary responsibilities include shaping the organization QA initiative and implementing best practices with the purpose of identifying non conformity issues and improving overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Quality Management process and possess the ability to communicate and implement these concepts effectively throughout the organization


  • Develop, implement and analyze quality metrics. Provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff

  • Implement and oversee the company quality control and quality assurance procedure for all manufacturing operations to ensure effectiveness and efficiency

  • Help drive Design Transfer activities as projects moves from development to volume production. Ensure that manufacturing process capabilities match customer requirements

  • Identify processes, situations, etc., where organization is meeting requirements, as well as identify opportunities for improvement

  • Serve as process owner for key quality systems such as nonconformance, process/product monitoring, and management of change. Monitor, report on, and improve quality system performance

  • Manage day-to-day tactical and long-term strategic activities within the business to achieve a mature Quality Systems to realize Internal and External Quality targets as established

  • Manage CAPA and quality escalation issues, ensuring timely reporting, adequate root cause investigation and Implementation of appropriate corrective measures

  • Perform risk assessment and manage Quality Control Plan for all programs at the site

  • Create and sustain a culture that is based on continuous improvement

  • Keep up with standards like MIL-PRF-38534, QML programs, MIL-STD-883, AS9100, ISO 9001 and enhance/revise internal processes/training when necessary.

  • Interface with Government, customers and agencies


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:


  • BS in Technical Discipline: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in quality management and compliance systems including: MIL-PRF-38534, AS9100, ISO 9001-2015 or similar standards.

  • 7 years minimum experience leading cross-functional quality teams using practical approaches with a solid track record of strong technical leadership, de-escalation skills and executive communication.

Preferred:


  • MS degree in engineering and Six Sigma certification is preferred.

  • Defense/Aerospace Industry experience.

  • Lead auditor certification.

  • Proven strong interpersonal and talent management skills.

  • Demonstrated continuous Improvement expertise.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thought to develop, recommend and implement strategies.

  • Quality orientation, high attention to detail with strong problem analysis and problem resolution skills.

  • ASQ Certification (CQE, CMQ/OE, or CQA).

  • Experience in Process Engineering, Operations or Project Management within a manufacturing facility.

  • Experience instructing Executives, Managers, Associates and CI champions on Lean methodologies and/or Technical projects.
