Responsible for the day to day safety activities including PPE selection, training, regulatory compliance, conducting safety audits and generate reports as required.
Enforce corporate safety and security policies to ensure company and government compliance by conducting inspections, audits, reporting statistics and counseling employees.
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations as well as NTS safety policy by maintaining a thorough knowledge of existing and new legislation by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies and establishing professional networks.
Adheres to budgets and schedules expenditures and initiates corrective actions as needed.
Manages environmental activities including, but not limited to, SCAQMD, SMARTS, CUPA, Local Sanitation Agencies, State Water Board, EPA Region IX, SARA and other local environmental reporting as required.
This position will be responsible for maintaining Environmental licenses and permits for the facility
Process and protect personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive, personal information with regards to reporting responsibilities in a professional manner.
Maintain files for customers and audits.
Maintains, and helps revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Company's Compliance Program (Security, Contractual, IT, etc.) and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
Serves as primary point of contact and liaison with U.S. government agencies and Defense Security Services.
Facilitates the successful preparation and completion of annual inspections to ensure government compliance.
Facilitates the Department of Defense Facility Clearance Program and all aspects of the personnel security clearance process via JPAS/DISS, including security prescreen interviews, Finger Prints, SF86 form submissions, annual refresher briefings, annual security audit, initiation of the security clearance process for employees through E-QIP, managing reinstatements, in-process, and out-process, etc. through JPAS/DISS.
Ensures compliance with NISPOM and all security protocols required by customers or contracts, and keeps abreast of ever-changing security regulations.
Ensures that all requisite reporting, assessments, inspections and audits are conducted in a timely manner and all necessary documentation and files are adequately maintained.
Represents the company to external agencies (regulatory, DOD) to ensure effective management of compliance and reporting requirements to maintain a Secret Level Facility clearance.
Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures
Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.
Assists contract proposal staff in all aspects involving security requirements.
Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.
Creates, submits, and manages Visit Authorization Requests for contract staff.
Maintains DD254, SF 328, SF 312, and KMP Lists, in all systems of record, JPAS/DISS/NISS
Required Skills/Education/Experience:
Previous 2-4 years' experience as a safety manager or environmental regulatory manager with a record of experience and proven success in environmental certifications/licenses.
Must be a high engery self-starter with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the NTS organization as well as State Environmental Agencies.
Must possess extensive knowledge of federal and state laws regarding safety regulations and OHSA.
Must have experience as a Facility Security Officer
Must be a cleared employee
Must be a US Citizen.
Licenses and Certifications (if any):
REA Certification
Must complete FSO Program Management Training through CDSE/STEPP within 1 year - approximately 40 hours of training
