About Our Candidate:
The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting operational excellence when servicing our marketplaces and customers, by providing data driven insights and reporting that enables decision making and informs internal process optimization. This role will provide analytical leadership by extracting and analyzing data from a variety of sources, utilizing facts through data to inform business growth and development.
You will lead cross functional project teams and provide hands-on technical expertise, to deliver robust business solutions to internal and external stakeholders. You will design critical analytical dashboards, reports, and queries to drive strategic business decisions, ad-hoc analysis, and identify descriptive and prescriptive solutions for internal teams and external customers. We will need you to dig deep into the core issues of business problems in order to drive a solution that gets at the heart of the root cause.
What You Will Be Doing:
Creating and developing reporting required for programs and projects, supporting business development into new markets and related initiatives
You will interact with all internal operational and product development areas that impact the KAR Global customer experience, sharing findings and making proposals on process changes and optimization, based on data insights
Evaluating or proposing requests for new services and programs using cost and service data.
Creating and maintaining scorecards, communicating to Contact Center, Arbitrations, Logistics, and Financial Ops leadership, as required and recommend necessary actions to improve were applicable
You Should Have the Following:
Experience in creating or maintaining reports and analysis that directly impact decision making at the senior management level
Ability to collaborate with peers, business partners, and senior managers on cross-functional projects
Ability to effectively present information both orally and in written form and respond to questions from senior managers, business leaders, and peers
Demonstrated knowledge in some of the following areas and tools:
BI, Data Exploration & Visualization Tools
Tableau
Modelling concepts
Structured Query Language (SQL)
Ability to troubleshoot and define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to find a solution
Ability to think cross-functionally, join data from various sources and draw meaningful conclusions/develop innovative solutions
Demonstrated analytical and financial modelling skills and comfort with Finance and Accounting principles
Accurate in processing transactional data
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, fun, challenging group environment that embraces continuous learning and a feedback culture
Ability to work independently under little guidance on several projects simultaneously and be self-directed while working under tight deadlines
Passion for all things data
Ability to develop and maintain relationships that build a foundation of trust and open dialog
Ability to coach and develop team members
Follow through and accountability with all levels both internal and external
What You Need:
Four-year degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, concentration in one of the following: Business, MIS, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent relevant job experience
5-7 years of direct experience in analyzing, visualizing, and reporting data to drive business decisions
Proven exposure to several of the following areas: data analytics, data wrangling, database management, forecasting/business planning, demand planning, and information technology
Advanced to Expert Excel skills required
