Job Description:

Working in close cooperation with the shop supervisor and the Sr. Electronics Designer the ideal candidate will build, troubleshoot and maintain the advanced electronics package for the Companies 5th generation in-line inspection tool. Ideal candidate would be a hands-on individual who takes ownership of projects and drives them to successful conclusions. GENERAL SUMMARY :

Working in close cooperation with the shop supervisor and the Sr. Electronics Designer the ideal candidate will build, troubleshoot and maintain the advanced electronics package for the Companies 5th generation in-line inspection tool. Ideal candidate would be a hands-on individual who takes ownership of projects and drives them to successful conclusions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) :

  • Responisible for the final assembly of electronic components and boards using both thru-hole and surface mount components. This includes rework, repair and troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical installation of electronics into ILI tool vessels.
  • Support and assist the operation of other departments as required.
  • Creating and writing assembly instructions for electronic items.
  • Performing incoming and first article inspections on all electronics components received.
  • Order parts as needed to complete requested tasks and maintain inventory levels to support companies field operations.
  • Understand Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
  • Promote Environmental, Health & Safety and always follow safe working practices.
  • Always represent the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."

  • Other duties as assigned from time to time by the director of Engineering and Technology.

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :

    • Associates Degree in Electronics Technology, certified from technical school or equivalent experience required.
    • Two to three years of hands-on experience in the electronics field.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in general electronics and good understanding of electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems along with test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment is necessary.
    • Must have the ability to assemble experimental circuitry and/or prototype models according to engineering instructions and technical manuals. This includes adjusting, calibrating, aligning, and modifying circuitry and components and recording the effects on unit performance.
    • Successful candidates will have the demonstrated ability to troubleshoot to the component level and competency in soldering and de-soldering surface mount components.
    • Familiar with use of DMMs, scopes, logic analyzers and computer-based design and debug tools.
