Linux System Administrator

Get Inspired by the Work You'll Do:

• Manage HP DL/DX and SAN switches. Monitor and support CPU, RAM, Drive, Fans, Power, NIC, HBA and cables...OS crashes and exceptions.


• Linux Operation System's installation, configuration, evaluation, upgrading, patching, monitoring, analyzing and deploying.


• Install and manage block storages. Responsible for storages' configuration, troubleshooting, multipathing, monitoring, upgrade, deployment, optimizing, break fix.


• Install and manage file/backup storages, such as Cohesity. Responsible for backup, replication, global deployment, performance optimization, troubleshooting, link aggregation.


• Be skilled in Ansible to code Ansible playbook to manage thousands of virtual machines and hundreds of physical servers running on RHEL/CentOS globally.


• Have rich administrative experience on private cloud, such as Nutanix


• Have rich administrative experience on open cloud, such as AWS, GCP


• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot PROD CRONs. Support requests from developers about CRONs and CRON environment maintenance.


• Responsible for Application Server's availability and stability, such as LDAP, FTP, SFTP, NTP, CRON, NFS and so on.


• Work with DBA to optimize Database Servers performance and related requirements, such as CPU cores, shared memory, disk space extension.


• Be available to provide 24x7 second-level and by rotation on call and on site support for major hardware issues and production issues.

Your Passion is Sparked By:

• BA/BS in computer science/electrical engineering or equivalent fields.


• A minimum of 5 years' administrative experience of mainstream HPE servers.


• A minimum of 3 years' administrative experience on Linux Operation System.


• A minimum of 3 years' administrative experience of mainstream backup storage, such as Cohesity.


• Have strong analytical and troubleshooting skill to solve production issues under great pressure.


• Be skilled in mainstream RHEL, CentOS and Solaris.


• Be skilled in HPE mainstream physical servers DL/BL/XL-series and Oracle T-series.


• In-depth programming experience with UNIX shell script, Python, Ansible, etc.


• Be skilled in mainstream block storages, such as ION accelerator, 3PAR, Nimbus and so on.


• Be skilled in mainstream file storages, such as Cohesity, Quantum DXi with their dedupe, compression, replication, snapshot, and auto backup functions.


• Be skilled in Oracle Virtualization.


• Be skilled in protocol such as LDAP, FTP, SFTP, NTP, NFS and so on and CRON.


• Have strong business communication skill, able to work in a dynamic and diverse working environment and multi-tasking.


• Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions based on findings and experience.


• Demonstrate experience with enterprise-level virtualization strategy, design, implementation and maintenance using VMware vSphere 6.x servers and clusters including vCenter, Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and vCloud Director.


• Proven history of incident response, diagnostic and advanced troubleshooting skills.

Colorado Hiring Base Salary Range: $52,000- $123,000

Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including geographic location, work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
