Sourcing Manager at Lhoist North America

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:


  • Engage with internal customers to establish alignment on procurement process and strategy. Improve the integration of procurement strategy, process discipline, and best practices into the project lifecycle.

  • Develop meaningful Procurement Strategies for small and medium sized CapEx Projects:

  • Understand project and business objectives and internal customer technical Requirements.

  • Identify TCO reduction and value creation opportunities.

  • Drive cost reduction while maintaining quality and service level requirements.

  • Negotiate, develop, and manage supply agreements for assigned projects.

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategy while promoting alternative sourcing methods.

  • Define supplier qualification, sourcing evaluation, and decision criteria

  • Develop negotiation strategies and drive strategic negotiations.

  • Lead contract implementation and lifecycle management.

  • Support Procure-to-pay process through alignment of buying channels and process.

  • Ensure smooth collaboration within the Procurement Organization. Identify opportunities to leverage efforts between project and operations to drive process efficiency and value creation.

  • Incorporate safety into daily work ethic.

ATTRIBUTES:


  • Broad based knowledge of sourcing, procurement, contracting and supplier management processes.

  • Understanding or market dynamics and sound business judgement.

  • Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.

  • Strong written and oral communication; ability to negotiate and persuade others.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

  • Analytical aptitude and ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, management and suppliers.

  • SAP / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience preferred

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office capabilities.

Required Experience: 10 years

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
