If you are a supply chain/buying professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Boulder, CO location, you will gather and analyze data from various systems for business reporting, ensuring transactional and master data integrity, identifying opportunities to improve processes and tools for supply chain and procurement of material to meet business quality, cost, inventory, and service level objectives. AS A SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST, YOU WILL: 


  • Develop new data extracts from the business system
  • Assist in development of supply chain performance goals and objectives
  • Track and report on supply chain key performance indicators and report on performance
  • Analyze data to find and recommend new opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in business system and/or bolt on system testing
  • Utilize business processes and tools to support or improve the integrated supply chain
  • Supports company objectives in areas of quality, delivery, inventory, and cost goals. Proposed actions on complex assignments involving high financial impact are reviewed by Manager
  • Support the factory by ensuring material is available in support of production schedules:

    • Communicate and resolve shortages in a timely manner
    • Work Daily priority reports
    • Supplier Management: Create or modify POs to satisfy demand & general correspondence
    • Support any quality actions (MRs, red lights, etc.)
    • Comply with all import / export regulations and documentation required

  • Manage / resolve Buyer Delivery performance and matching holds reports
  • Manage inventory to Supply Chain goals using various analytics / reporting tools
  • Communicate monthly forecasts and delivery performance to suppliers
  • Re-Classify item ABC codes and item attributes (e.g. safety stock, lead times, etc…)
  • May serve as a focal point representing the materials group in product line projects and present at various report forums on inventory performance and project status
  • May support standard to very large, complex  New Product Development (NPD) projects
  • May support Indirect material purchases and non-inventory items
  • Support other functional areas, projects, mentoring and provide work direction as assigned
  • Supports the development of the procurement team through training and development of coworkers, sup-porting a positive and safe environment, development of work instructions and department procedures. Maintains conduct consistent with company policy, accepted practice and applicable state and federal regulations

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in supply chain or operations
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle or other ERP systems specifically concerned with procurement practices and processes
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis
  • Working knowledge of SQL is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

  • Commodity experience is a plus
