Job Description:

Major Responsibilities: 
•    Safely operate and maintain all boiler and boiler related equipment 
•    Fire boiler to insure reliable steam supply 
•    Routine equipment checks / inspections / lubrication / maintenance 
•    Problem solving 
•    Logs boiler related changes on shift log 
•    Perform tests and adjustments to maintain proper chemical balance in boiler water, steam and feedwater 
•    Operation of boiler and air pollution control equipment to insure emissions are within state & federal guidelines 
•    Operates ash removal system and ash unloading equipment  
•    Operates Kawasaki K65 loader 
•    Operates forklift 

Work Experience:
•    Must have a valid and current driver’s license and forklift license. 
•    Knowledge and ability to work safe in a team environment. 
•    Strong customer service skills 
•    Possess clear oral and written communication skills 
•    Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, and Excel) is preferred 
•    Have initiative, and carry out assignments with minimal direct supervision. 
•    Previous Work Experience in a fast paced & physically demanding warehouse environment is preferred 
•    General inventory control, shipping and receiving experience is preferred 
•    Good reading and mathematical skills 
•    Experience in reading charts, meters and gauges 
•    Use of common hand tools and power tools (electric drills, grinders etc.) 
•    Basic troubleshooting skills 
•    Ability to understand, retain, and perform complex procedures related to boiler operation 
•    Any hands-on mechanical knowledge and experience is a plus 
•    Experience with steam systems is a plus 
•    Forklift experience is a plus 
•    Front-end loader experience is a plus 

REQUIREMENT:

Stationary Steam Engineer License
