As part of the Business Intelligence team, this person is responsible for installation, configuration and administration of the Tableau / Alteryx server and client applications. Duties will include establishing best practice methodologies for the administration of the Tableau platform. This position involves the design and development of the BI/Tableau/Alteryx data infrastructure, data source creation, security (user access), change control of Tableau objects and overall Tableau support. Development experience in the Tableau environment is required.
Job Responsibilities
Perform installation, migration and upgrade of Tableau/ Alteryx Servers under High Availability scenario
Perform performance analysis of existing Tableau/ Alteryx Servers and make Best Practice recommendations
Perform day to day administration of Tableau/ Alteryx Servers in Windows environment:
Manage sites and projects/ collections
Configure and manage project permissions
Provide periodic reports on Tableau/ Alteryx Server usage
Publish Tableau workbooks and data extracts / Alteryx workflows/ apps/macros
Configure and maintain Active Directory integration with Tableau Server
Configure and troubleshoot Single Sign On (SSO) issues for Tableau/ Alteryx Server
Provide 2nd tier support to user community on various Tableau / Alteryx Server and Desktop issues
Create Tableau/ Alteryx related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Required Qualification
Minimum 3 years of Tableau Server administration
Minimum 5 years of Windows Server administration
Development experience in the Tableau environment
Excellent understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Load Balancer and Network firewall
Experience configuring Single Sign-on (SSO) with SAML authentication
Proficient in Tableau command line utility
Alteryx Server administration is a plus
Good understanding of database concepts including writing SQL statements
Experience with Jira in managing tasks and good understanding of Agile process
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong python, PowerShell scripting experience
