The Product Manager will lead end-to-end delivery of business solutions that leverage the existing technology platform. The candidate will need to develop a detailed understanding of JPMAAM's business strategy, products, and needs with the technical acumen to design and deliver solutions to meet them. Responsible for empowering the business, managing stakeholders and coordinating with software development teams in order to capitalize on efficiency and maximize ROI. The Product Manager will also communicate to clients how the platform enables the management of portfolios across each business unit.
Roles and Responsibilities
Own the strategy and product roadmap for JPMAAM's Technology platforms across the quantitative and research functions
Execute the roadmap from start to finish in very close partnership with the software engineering team, collaborating to ensure alignment to business needs
Proactively identify and address complexity, risks, and roadblocks in order to keep stakeholders informed and projects on track
Shape business strategy by leveraging the exiting Business and Technology platform.
Drive the improvement of business processes and create new business capabilities and opportunities
Maintain a continuous line of communication with product stakeholders
Define, prioritize, and execute the product roadmaps
Collaborate with the software development teams and make strategic decisions on accepting or rejecting the software they create while reducing barriers to delivery
Build tactical business solutions & transition to technology platform where appropriate
Qualifications
A detailed understanding of the Fund of Funds investment lifecycle (Portfolio & Risk Management, Valuation & Shadow Accounting, Trade Execution & Operations, etc.) with an enthusiastic interest in the broader Asset Management industry
Strong communication and presentation skills are required; ability to effectively tailor/translate the message for different audiences (users, senior stakeholders and management, technology partners, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in technology or business; Master's degree preferred
5+ years of related experience in the financial services industry is required; experience within the Asset Management industry is highly desired
Experience working within the Agile SDLC to build technology products is preferred
Ability to focus on the big picture with strategic vision when designing solutions for business strategy, product, and software
Strong organizational skills, project management skills, and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively, and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
