The Floor Tech This individual is a member of the support staff whose responsibilities are to maintain the facility in a clean and attractive condition while meeting all standards set forth for the housekeeping department
Schedule:
Monday – Friday: 8:30 am. To 4:30 pm, working every other weekend
The Neighborhoods at St. Elizabeth provides a comprehensive array of individualized rehab and nursing services to seniors in the Baltimore area
Floor Tech responsibilities:
Perform daily housekeeping of all common areas per the standard cleaning procedures including, but not limited to, hallways, activity, dining areas, lobby, elevators, canteen, stairwells, and offices.
Perform standard cleaning of tub and shower rooms, kitchenettes and canteen.
Collect and empty trash cans daily and sanitize trash cans as needed.
Move furniture as requested.
Clean toilet, sink and floor of bathroom with proper germicidal cleaners, replenishing supplies as needed.
Keep all housekeeping equipment clean and report any mechanical, safety or hazardous conditions for repair
Perform routine heavy duty cleaning of all hard floor areas such as dining rooms, activity areas, resident rest rooms, public rest rooms, elevators as scheduled.
Perform deep cleaning of carpet in vacant rooms to prepare for new admission.
Maintain all departmental equipment in good safe working order and report malfunctions to Director.
(Position title) requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Environmental Services employees are expected to maintain a standard level of cleanliness for their assigned area, as identified in the inspection/rounds policy.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
A good understanding of basic cleaning skills required.
Able to follow oral or written instructions plus a willingness to apply and perform these skills in keeping with standards of the facility.
Ability to bend, stretch, push and lift on a routine daily basis.
