EVENT SECURITY JOB FAIR @ CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS - May 15th 10AM - 2PM

•    Location: COTA Media Center A: 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd, (enter Media Center and it will be the first doors on your left once inside)

•    Parking: Enter COTA BLVD off FM 812, travel to Tunnel 2 Guard Shack, guard will direct you down Tunnel Road to Paddock North (We will have a guard here), into the Paddock to the Media Center parking location. (Coned off area beside the Media Center - look for signage)

Come be a part of the EXCITEMENT of NASCAR's inaugural race at COTA for the first ever NASCAR Texas Grand Prix!  5 STAR Event Services is now hiring people to join our guest services team for Part Time Hourly employment to work NASCAR at COTA May 21st - May 23rd.   

PAY RATE $13 - $14/HOUR

Please bring two forms of identification that establish work authorization. An example of this would be a drivers license with a social security card or birth certificate.

Qualifications:

• Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Guard Card (Training & Licensing Class Provided)


• High School diploma or GED equivalent


• At least 18 years of age


• Reliable forms of communication and transportation


• Must possess excellent Customer Service, Verbal, and Written Skills


• Must be Outgoing, Personable and Professional


• Enjoy Working in both Independent and Team Environments

Duties: 

• Enforce and uphold the integrity of public and private areas of the venue


• Access Control: monitor entry and exit points to specific areas of the venue


• Perform routine search procedures including bag searches and screening of guests, their tickets, bags, credentials, etc. prior to entry to ensure that no prohibited items enter the venue


• Greet and direct guests to seating areas and various services


• Maintain open and smooth access routes of patron/vehicle walkways


• Receive and act on complaints from patrons according to policies and procedures


• Enforce all policies and procedures throughout the facility and report any suspicious behaviors or activity


• Aide in the direction of orderly evacuation of the venue during emergencies


• Provide security escorts per event requirements

Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following:

• A strong customer-service attitude and professional appearance


• Excellent written and oral communication skills


• The ability to understand and interpret credentials, documents, signs, rules, policies, and instructions


• The ability to communicate effectively with clients, patrons, and other employees


• The ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quickly


• The ability to remain calm and level-headed under high-pressure situations

Physical Requirements: To perform this position successfully, an individual must possess the following physical requirements:

• Full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear, see, and speak English clearly


• The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (shift duration)


• The ability to lift 25lbs

Work Environment: Employees must be aware of and able to tolerate a variety of working conditions, including but not limited to:

• Elevated noise levels. Athletic and musical events can be very loud, and employees must be prepared to be exposed to increased noise levels. Ear plugs are available upon request.


• An energetic and fast-paced environment


• Crowds 


• Working outdoor venues. Some of the events we work take place outside or in open-air venues and take place rain or shine. Reasonable accommodations are made to assist with employee comfort when necessary (tents, rain ponchos, drinking water, etc.)


• Evening and weekend work schedules. Many events take place in the evenings and on the weekends. Flexible availability is required.

*All employees are required to wear PPE (gloves and/or masks to always cover both nose and mouth) while working until further notice. 5 STAR will adhere to federal and local guidelines in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
