Payroll/Analytics Specialist, Associate


Troy, MI - 100% Remote to start, up to 90% Remote Post-Covid


 


Our Payroll/Analytics Specialist will be working on Payroll, HRIS Technology and Metrics! They are a part of our People Operations team, responsible for consistently and accurately processing bi-weekly, multi-state payrolls for all of NAB and our family of companies. This role will also include analyzing existing reports and processes in order to make recommendations for improvements. You'll never be bored on this team!

As a Payroll/Analytics specialist, you will need to have basic knowledge of payroll principles, practices, regulations and procedures. You will also collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance, Talent Acquisition and other employee as you assume accountability for the employee records/data function including new employees, transfers, promotions, etc. 


 


What will you be learning:


Payroll



  • Complex payroll with multiple companies and a remote workforce in multiple states

  • Electronic timecard processing, includes resolving errors and preparing for payroll processing

  • Federal, state, and local payroll regulations and applying them in our payroll process

  • Manage the Payroll/HRIS email in box

  • Be the first point of contact for team member inquiries

Analytics



  • Coordinate the flow of HR-related information including data entry, retrieval, standard and ad hoc report generation for the department 

  • Maintain comprehensive employee records and files, gathering information from a variety of sources, researches and reconciles errors

  • Support internal customers by responding to “how-to questions”

  • Work closely with the senior team members to determine needs related to all systems within People Operations (HRIS, Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, etc.)

 


About you:



  • Experience processing payroll

  • Experience collaborating with internal business units/functions

  • Proficient with multiple applications within Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel

  • Ability to communicate and present complex information in a clear and understandable manner to all levels within the organization, both in writing and verbally

  • Payroll Certification (preferred, not required)

  • G-Suite proficiency (a plus)

  • UKG or experience with another HRIS (a plus)
